We love to make music for “kids” of all ages. Much of that music is recorded and then distributed through our many channels, including YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, and beyond. If you’ve already been enjoying Go Fish music in that form, we thank you and look forward to many more years of recording tracks that our growing audience will love.
With that said, there is something about performing in front of an excited audience that just can’t be beat. When we have the opportunity to play for a live crowd—as we did recently—it really reminds us of what is so special about getting to make music and why it is such an honor and privilege to be a part of Go Fish and to connect with as many people as possible along the way!
Go Fish had the opportunity to perform a kids’ concert at KidzFest on October 5th in Loveland, Colorado. The event was held at the beautiful Blue Arena at the Ranch Events Complex. KidzFest was part of a bigger two-day event called the Look Up Celebration with Will Graham. Along with our set, families experienced a multi-media viewing of “The Quest” along with a rock-solid gospel presentation delivered by Will Graham of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. To further the reach of this event and make sure as many people as possible are impacted by the gospel, it was open for all and free to attend.
Being invited to such a notable, important event was an exciting opportunity for us to reach even more people with our music. It’s always our goal to touch as many listeners as possible in a meaningful way and hopefully be a bright spot in their day, week, month, or year. This was a tremendously fun event, as along with watching our performance, the kids also had the opportunity to play in bounce houses, engage in painting activities and games, and much more.
Whenever we’re able to perform live music for kids, it always helps us reconnect with the true power of this kind of music and the impact that it can have on the lives of young people. To see so many kids, parents, and grandparents gathering together and having a great time with something that is positive and God-honoring is truly a blessing that we will never take for granted.
We all know just how much negativity and conflict is going on in the world, and all of those negative pressures have a way of reaching us all, especially our children. Our hope is that families left this event optimistic about moving forward because, in spite of current challenges, the truth is that our God is big and strong and mighty and there is nothing He can’t do!
Unfortunately, we will probably never be able to perform in person for every single one of our listeners, (as much as we would like to make that a reality). Still, we‘re committed to making our music as accessible as possible for everyone who would like to listen. There are a number of ways to engage with the music that we create, including the following:
If you’re actively involved with your church, also note that we offer some resources for churches to use as part of their children’s ministry. These resources are based on DVDs and worship videos that the youngest members of your congregation are sure to find enjoyable. We even have a special DVD set with content that is specifically suited for the Christmas season.
Please keep an eye on our upcoming events to see if the Go Fish band will be performing anywhere near you in the future. It is always a treat to get to meet people who have connected with our music, hear their stories, and bring smiles to faces throughout the audience. In the meantime, be sure to visit us on YouTube, Apple Music, or Spotify. Also, give our podcast a try! If you enjoy the music we make, there is a good chance you’ll find our podcast to be a welcome addition to your regular listening habits. Thank you for your support of the Go Fish guys, and we hope to see you on the road!
